The Wilson Foundation

What is The Wilson Foundation?

Through time, we've felt the Lord calling us to help people by meeting some of their needs, but now we see that as the needs are much bigger than us, this ministry needs to expand beyond us as well.   The Wilson Foundation is not really the official name, but until we feel led to choose just the right one, we will temporarily call it that.  The Wilson Foundation is not a means of providing financial support for our family or ministries!  It is a foundation that will allow others to participate in the thrill of giving and helping others by choosing a specific project to donate to.  100% of the funds received will go directly to the designated project.  Below is a list of projects that we feel strongly about and would like to support.  Some require one-time gifts, while others could receive regular gifts.  For more information, or if you're interested in helping with one of these projects, please contact us at  monte@cicbolivia.org  Please keep praying for guidance and direction from the Lord to bless others through this ministry.

"Suppose a brother or sister is without clothes and daily food.  If one of you says to him, 'Go, I wish you well; keep warm and well fed,' but does nothing about his physical needs, what good is it?"  James 2:15-16

"Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world."  James 1:27

Special Projects

Here is a list of the current projects that we would be interested in helping fund:

Casa de Alegria

***Feature Project***  $100 dresser/closet  (each dresser/closet is for 2 girls)  They need a total of 10 units.  The girls currently store their clothes stacked in one tall, old wicker basket.

$200 one-time gift          windows  (they have been broken over time and winter can be very cold here!)                 This project was completed by some Hospitals of Hope volunteers.  Praise the Lord!

$3     gas for hot water for showers.  4 tanks of gas ($12) is enough gas for one month of showers for all 20 girls.

$1,000-$2,000 for bricks to raise the security wall.  Recently a number of hoodlums from the area have entered and broken windows and cut the phone line and scared the girls!  This is an urgent need and money can be sent in smaller amounts to help with the larger overall cost.

Life of Hope Network       $10-$1,000     One-time gifts of any amount to help with the purchase of furnishings and supplies for children's homes to be begun in various isolated communities throughout Bolivia (ranging from school supplies, to mattresses)

Following the Master Carpenter     $100 one-time gifts          1 bed for an orphanage

University Scholarships         $100   towards study in Bolivia     University in Bolivia is free, but entrance exams, books, and school supplies, can cost up to $100 per "semester" and students can attend 3 "semesters" per year.  Candidates for this scholarship should have decent grades and no means to provide for themselves (ex- orphans, street kids who've come clean, student who spends time caring for siblings and unable to work)

$500   $1,000      Other scholarships would be for students attending university in non-3rd world countries who are committed to full-time Christian service.  The student could receive 1 scholarship during 4yrs of study and the student must have good grades and be involved in a form of service or ministry prior to entering university.

Short-Term Mission Trips      $100          First-time mission-trip scholarship to encourage people to take that first step toward missions

$50           For all subsequent mission trips.  These scholarships would be given as funds are available.
